Eduardo Gouveia was born in 1975 in Beja (Portugal). He received the Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering at Escola Superior de Tecnologia, Polytechnic Institute of Viseu, Viseu, (Portugal) in 1996. He received a graduation (licenciatura), the M.Sc. degree and the PhD degree in Electrical Engineering and Computers from the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto, Porto (Portugal) respectively in 1998, 2002 and 2009.

Eduardo Gouveia is with the Department of Electrical Engineering, School of Technology, Polytechnic Institute of Viseu since March 1999, where he teaches the disciplines of: Electrical Energy Management, Electrical Installations II, Electrical and Communications Project.
